Originally Lois Armstrong grew up as a poor boy on the streets of New Orleans. He worked hard to support his family by singing for pennies. His travels introduced him to new music that was a great inspiration for his older age. He had openly demonstrated his talents on the streets which helped his career. His first music instruction was luckily in a home for boys. Eventually he began to preform in films and on the radio. He worked in funky jazz bands, and continued to record albums for many years. He preformed until his health made it so that he had to sing instead of playing the trumpet. In his last year he went to London and was in many television shows. He preformed until a few days until his death.
